Tire Repair FAQ

Some flat tires can be repaired if the damage is minor and located on the tread. Sidewall damage or large punctures usually require tire replacement. A professional can assess the damage and recommend the best course of action.

If your tire goes flat while driving, gradually slow down and remain calm.  Pull over to a safe location and turn on you your light to so other drivers can be alerted

Driving on a flat can cause further damage to the tire or vehicle as well as  being dangerous. It best to pull over ASAP

The vehicle may start to pull to one side. At times the steering wheel may start to shake of the sound of thumping or flopping my be heard

make sure you check tire pressure often and inspect for damages. Maintain proper tire pressure and rotate tires according to manufacturer’s specs

A donut or spare tire is rated for speeds up to 50mph and distances up to 70 miles. A donut should be changed ASAP

Fix-a-flat or any sealant is a temporary fix for small punctures, its not a permanent fix. Its best to have tire repaired or replaced ASAP

Damaged tires should be disposed at recycling center or a tire retailor. Tire shops also has services for disposal when you buy a new tire. Avoid throwing in a dumpster or leave in a landfill
